Our community has lost a Legend, a Professor, a Genius, a Philanthropist, and a Friend...

It is with deep sorrow and sadness to announce the sudden, untimely and unexpected loss of our dear Dr. Esmael Adibi.

His uninterrupted annual presentations on the economic forecasts were attended by hundreds of NIPOC members and guests at our January meetings for the last 27 years.  He made us laugh and entertained us with economic facts and figures, something that only he could do.  His annual presentations combined with his intelligence and humor made many of us believers and followers of his predictions.   But above all, he was a beloved friend to all of us.  We miss you Essie joon.  You will be always in our hearts.

Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, Chapman University, NIPOC, and the entire community.  His memory will stay with us forever.

Donations in Essie's memory can be made to the Adibi Family International Scholarship Fund at Chapman that he established many years ago and where he donated the honorariums he received for his many public speaking engagements.

A memorial service will be held on:

Saturday, April 16 at 11 am
