THE 15TH ANNUAL MEHREGAN FESTIVAL
A BIG Thank You for Attending Mehregan

On October 1st and 2nd 2011, Orange County witnessed the 15th Annual Mehregan Persian Festival.
Organized jointly by NIPOC, Network of Iranian-American Professionals of Orange County and other Iranian cultural and student groups in Southern California and hundreds of volunteer who donated their time and talents. They brought to life the traditions, tastes, sights and sounds of their beloved country in a land far away from their roots, and shared the rich and unique culture.
The festival can best be summarized as a time to reflect on the past and welcome the future with love, knowledge, and commitment. The crowd was welcomed by posters and artifacts along the corridor walls, most of which contained information about the ancient Persian Empire, Cyrus the Great, the great poet, Ferdowsi, and Iranian customs.
Whether it was with dancing, music or poetry readings, many stages set at the front, middle and back of the field were constantly active with entertainment.
All and all it was a fantastic festival with over 20K attendance and everyone had a great Mehregan. We would like to thank all of our supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and most importantly the public for making it happen.
Till next Mehregan, may Mehr be with you
